Hey guys! Here are the tabs, backing track and MIDI file for my metal cover of Dragon Ball Z: The Legacy of Goku 2's "Epilogue" theme requested by MadaraUchiha!

We have some amazingly fun guitar parts in here for both leads and rhythms, they take up the entire spectrum of difficulty so it's a tad hard to assign an overall difficulty. This is awesome though because it means all skill levels can jam out on this fun track!

Rhythms:

Style - fast down picking, thrashy

Difficulty - 3/5

The challenge with most of these riffs is on the picking hand. We're doing some Metallica-style picking here really focusing on down picking. Down picking is super essential to great metal rhythm playing and I definitely encourage everyone who's a newer player to grind out these down picking exercises!

We have some extra tricky chord shapes during Riff 4 that will be challenging! It was super tricky to get these chord transitions clean so don't feel discouraged if it's tough!

Leads:

Style - percussive sticatto, ringing out notes, legato

Difficulty - 3/5

Our leads span across a lot of difficulty levels and there are a ton of different melodies to choose from in this theme! Let's break down some sections!

Riff 1 starts with one of the most fun harmonies in the theme, it's very simple and repetitive which makes it a blast to play!

Riff 2 is the cell riff and we're ringing out some chords here. another super easy lead line!

Riff 3 is my favorite part to play. This harmony is just straight kickass and it's so fun to jam on for all skill levels! make sure to get the percussion x's down to get it to jump out in the mix!

Riff 4 is where it gets a bit tough because our melody is in kind of a unique shape on the fret board. It's a ton of fun to vibrato this though and with some muscle memory involved, it should be pretty chill to play!

Riff 5 is like 4 where it's a bit trickier and pretty technical. It's a really cool melody though that appreciates our backing chords.

Riff 6 is where it gets really tough with these crazy jumps up arpeggios and descending in a really unique way. This gave me some of the most trouble in the recording but it ended up sounding super cool!

our hardest lead line in the song is the tail end of Riff 8 with this insaaaane legato shred lick. The original plays this exact lick and I felt that it wouldn't be right if I didn't try to re-create it. This heavily relies on legato unless you're a legend at speed picking which I am totally not haha. Take this one slow and watch my video back at .5 speed if you need a visual reference on how I am picking it.

Good luck and happy shredding! Let me know if you have any questions whether it's a DM on here or on my discord server!

thanks so much and enjoy!
