Hey guys! Here is the completed video for my metal cover of Dragon Ball Z: The Legacy of Goku 2's "Epilogue" theme! This badass theme was requested by MadaraUchiha! thanks so much for this awesome request Madara!

So this theme is an absolute banger even on the retro VGM original! It has an interesting dynamic to it in that it doesn't loop whatsoever. This is super rare in VGM as most of it allows me to do a 2nd run through of critical parts to develop on them. But as this one was A to B, it presented some unique challenges for me having to really commit to my interpretations of every part knowing that I can't repeat anything. This was a ton of fun though and it's always cool to have some different things thrown at me in an arrangement! Arranging this piece really felt like putting together a straight up metal banger!

The theme is so hype and it almost feels like every part just gets more and more intense at it progresses. I love the whole middle section so much where it rips on that B minor melodic progression. I tried to do a ton of stuf with the rhythm guitars as this theme is just metal as heck and the rhythm guitars have to be rockin throughout the entire thing!

I also got to use a lot of different keyboard layers in this which I rarely get to do. The original theme has some choir-like pads in it that felt so important that I had to figure out how to re-create those as much as I could. I didn't even really want to experiment with a different type of sound for it, but instead just bringing that into my arrangement as a nod to the original and activating that epic nostalgia.

I hope you guys enjoy this metal jam as much as I enjoyed making it! thanks so much for the amazing support and I hope you guys are rocking the heck out to this video game metal and having a great positive time!

This theme was such a blast to arrange but it was quite a challenge! The cool thing about this theme was that it's 3 minutes long and it's in a retro video game style, BUT it's one of the few retro VGM themes that doesn't repeat whatsoever. It's structured like a straight up metal song which meant I had to really commit to my interpretations of the riffs not being able to develop theme in a second go-around like I can usually do in my arrangements. This was really fun however because it felt like an original metal composition of mine doing this arrangement. I put a ton of care into the rhythm guitars on this as they're following such unique and fun chord progressions. The harmonies were also such a blast to put together as well because partnered with the rhythms it just ended up sounding so epic. I hope you guys enjoy this theme and thanks so much to everyone who tuned in to the writing stream when I was putting this together and to everyone who is watching it here! ➤ Follow me! http://www.facebook.com/toxicxeternity http://www.twitter.com/toxicxeternity http://www.instagram.com/toxicxeternity http://www.twitch.tv/toxicxeternity ➤ Join the ToxicxEternity Discord Server! https://discord.gg/27jAb2j ➤ ToxicxEternity T-shirts!! http://bit.ly/2nQwHlk ➤ The original "Epilogue" theme from the game "Dragon Ball Z: The Legacy of Goku II" was composed by Yannis Brown ➤ Looking to start making covers?
