Hey guys! Here is the completed video for my metal cover of Twilight Princess' "Hyrule Field" theme!

This theme was such a blast to put together. This theme is insanely nostalgic to me as Twilight Princess is I guess my 3rd favorite Zelda? That doesn't sound that significant but Breath of the Wild just took first for me and Majora's Mask will always be my game. However Twilight Princess was the soundtrack and game for my high school life and I'll always cherish playing it.

This theme is without a doubt my favorite Hyrule Field theme however. It's just straight up metal as heck. It's not nearly as happy-go-lucky as the other overworld themes, you just know ***'s gonna go down when this theme kicks in. I love it haha.

I wanted to be patient before tackling this cover because I really wanted to shred it's face off. I took a lot of time recording this and the mixing, oh lord the mixing was insane. I insisted on having some horns and strings in there to compliment the guitars and to pay respects to the original theme. That just made the mixing super intense though because I had to balance out the levels just right and get it super glued together.

I'm really glad I took the time to make this as good as I could make it and I'm so insanely proud of how it turned out. I hope you guys enjoy it!! Let me know what you think :D

Let's ride! This theme is so amazing. It's by far my favorite Hyrule Field theme of the Zelda series. It's dark, minor key, but still adventurous and uplifting. 8 Bit Music theory described it perfectly in his video about Zelda Hyrule Field themes (paraphrasing) basically saying "This minor key Hyrule Field theme perfectly sets the tone for this darker Zelda game". I've been wanting to cover this theme for a while and I just wanted to make sure I was really ready to do this theme the justice it deserved. I had this arrangement in my head for a while so when it came time to lay this down, I felt ready to take it on! The real challenge here was the mixing process. I insisted on having some horns and heavy strings in the mix giving it a dense layer and having some heavy nods towards the original theme. This made mixing insane but I'm so happy with how it turned out! I tried a lot of fun techniques that I haven't pulled out before. I hope you guys enjoy this theme as much as I enjoyed making it!
