[ TIMELESS ] - Test Scene: "Stupid Magic Ring" (Patreon)

Sonic: "Yo Surge, watch this- 

Surge: "What?" 

The ring on Sonic's wrist begins to glow, and Surge feels her wieght lift off the ground as if she were flying. 

Surge: "Whoa, whoa whoa whoa whoa- hold on!!!" 

Sonic blasts away at top speed, pulling everything caught in his zero gravity field along with him...including a disgruntled Surge.

Sonic: "Hoh-ho YEAH! I've MISSED this!" 

Surge: "What the FUCK, asshole?! If the truce is over already, then I'm down to get back to killing your ass!!" 

Sonic: "Oh, uh, sorry! Might have let it rip a bit too close. You okay?" 

Surge: "What the hell WAS that power? I've never felt anything like that before. It was like I was flyin, but not on my own." 

Sonic: "These rings have the power to control gravity. It's pretty cool! Here," 

Sonic removes the ring on his wrist and gives it to Surge. 

Sonic: "You try." 

Surge swipes the ring from Sonic before eyeing it pensively. 

Surge: "...Okay, stupid magic ring...do your stuff." 

The ring is unresponsive. 

Surge: "I said WORK, damnit! Throw me over there like you did before!!" 

Sonic: "I think ya gotta say please, Sparks." 

Surge: "Very funny. And what did I tell you about calling me that?!" 

Sonic: Sonic chuckles. "You're not gonna get it to work by screaming at it. It's something you feel. Kind of like instinct, I think. Or at least that's how it feels to me." 

Surge gives Sonic a glare at the mention of that dumb nickname before returning her attention to the ring. The tenrec closes her eyes and tries to "feel" this ring out, but no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't get it to do what it did for Sonic. Angrily, she throws it back at him. 

Surge: "Grrrh! Fuck your stupid ring! I still bet I'm faster without it!" 

Sonic: "Hey, give it another try! You NEED to know how to use these things here." 

Surge: "I'll find my OWN way. You can keep your stupid zero gravity, I'll stick to Air." 

Sonic shrugs, putting the ring back onto his wrist.

Sonic: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it, I guess."
