I hope you all had lovely weekends.

After a lovely day out yesterday, today was back to work with full a day of house sorting. I made a LOT of Ikea furniture for the office and bedrooms (7 pieces - here they are before I took it upstairs).   We won't keep most of these for the long term by they allow us to unpack all our boxes and have some semblance of civilisation before the renovation and interior design work.  I find having everything tidy and in order important mentally with so much going on

As you can see Luna was my trusty helper - though as you can see she took on managerial position during the construction process.  She was rewarded with a tummy tickle by Ophelia when she got back from a birthday party.

Today is the last day of the holidays and there is excitement and anticipation all round with the girls returning to school tomorrow.

Now the August break is over and Catalan workers return Camilla and I will be booking meetings in with the architect and other suppliers so we can start the renovation ball rolling again.  It is likely to be less glamorous things that get our first attention - with tanking the systems to help stop the damp high on the list.

We will aim to get 2-3 quotes for each job to make sure that we keep finances on a tight leash.

Wishing you all a lovely week ahead.
