Penny was going on a weekend solo hike through the desert. It was safer and less tiring to travel the desert at night, so she rested when the sun was out. After setting up camp, she applied a new type of sunblock. It was called "Mulch Shield," an all natural sun protection lotion created from the chlorophyll of a hundred different plants.

After thoroughly applying the lotion, she took a nap in the warm sand, setting her cellphone to wake her up in a couple hours. However, as she slumbered, the heat of the sun caused the chlorophyll in her sunblock to have an odd reaction in her body. She turned bright green and small sprouts emerged across her body. She let loose a large fart in her sleep and hundreds of tiny spores emerged from her anus. A small number manage to escape her shorts and embed themselves in the sand surrounding her

Penny continued to sleep even as her phone alarm rang until its battery died, her metabolism having slowed down greatly thanks to her new plant body. As years passed, Penny slowly became larger and larger due to her body constantly photosynthesizing. As she grew, her clothes tore and rotted away, allowing her produce and spread spores unhindered.  The more she increased in size, the larger and more frequent her pollinating flatulence became. The spores she released each took root in the sands and eventually grew into plants of all kinds.

50 years later, Penny finally opened her eyes. It took all her effort to heave her 600 pound, moss and flower covered body into a sitting position. She stared in shock as she examined her body and looked around in confusion at the jungle oasis she had unintentionally created.
