"Ugh. What's the big deal about these games." Mia asked herself as she stared at the Switch on her couch.

Mia's little brother had visited her apartment today and had forgotten his Nintendo Switch. Mia herself had never played a video game in her life. To her, only fat geeks with no social life wasted their time playing games on a screen. Still, she was curious as video games had exploded in popularity and she wanted to know what was their appeal.

She sat down and began to play it. It was a game you controlled RC cars to play a soccer game. Mia felt a sense of excitement as she played and was ecstatic when she won her first game. She decided she might get one of Switch things for herself.

Three years later.

"Hey Mia, we haven't gotten together in a long while." One Mia's friends said over. I was hoping we could go to the dance club or the movies tonight."

"Sorry but I can't. I'm very busy at moment. Goodbye." Mia said as she hung up.

The thing Mia was "busy" with was trying to complete "Keldo's Adventure: Call of the Wind".  She had to find all 800 Carroc pellets so she could brag about on the internet.

In the past three years, Mia had become addicted to video games. She had all but abandoned the life of clubbing with her friends to stay at home and do nothing but play games on her PC and the many consoles she owned.

Her meals mostly consisted of chips, pizza rolls, soda and other forms of junk food that didn't require her to put in effort in cooking.  And the only exercise she received was walking from her chair to the bathroom. This lifestyle resulted in her gaining a tremendous amount of weight. In the past year alone she had broken two gaming chairs and a cheap futon. Likewise, the unhealthy food and lack of sunlight caused her to be covered in pimples and staring at screens all day ended up messing with her eyesight enough that she need to buy glasses.

She was now the very fat, acne riddled, four eyed geek she once admonished, having no friends and devoted her life to getting a platinum rank on every game she played. None of this bothered her though, as she was happy as long her chubby fingers stayed flexible enough to work the controller.
