Update teasers for Axugaem2: the Battle for Capital Bridge, released October 18th, 2021. Original teaser descriptions are included below.

Megala, the Fang-Scaled:
Hi all! I'm delighted to finally be able to start posting teasers for the next Axu2 update: the long-awaited (read: long-postponed) Battle for Capital Bridge! This update will include the titular battle, a few additions to unfinished areas via the (re)introduction of Cross and his whirlwind ability, and a couple of sizeable additions to certain relationship questlines.  Megala the Fang-Scaled will be an optional boss tied to a very specific relationship. I won't spoil much more, but additional details on how to encounter her will come with the update when it drops! Until then, expect more teasers in the very near future.

Renée:

Raziel:
Formerly the Archangel Gloriana's majordomo, Raziel became infamous when she went rogue following a prolonged and widespread series of disagreements with her superior. She met and eventually married a nobleman, Jens of Capital City, who would soon become King of the realm after his predecessor, Feldwich III stepped down due to public outcry over his callous mishandling of the contemporary human-husk crisis. Now, as Queen of Ironfruit Jungle and the human holdings of Imperium, Raziel offers her discipline and skill in battle, as well as her level head and powerful healing magic, to all those in need who are fortunate enough to find themselves in her presence.

Sang:
Woe befalleth whosoever encounters the terror of the highlands: a monster believed to be long dead, but rumoured to live on in hiding so that it may prey upon those lost in the night; a beast so vicious and deadly that - fuck it, fuck it, you all know by now that he's a giant baby.

Avarice, the Spiter King:
Like all spiters, Avarice hails from an unknown realm that is believed to exist somewhere beneath the darkest depths of Imperium's vast underground. Unlike other spiters, he moves undeterred in the sunlight, though he vastly prefers to operate both literally and figuratively in darkness-- which makes his sudden emergence as the being in charge of funding and coordinating Guscorp's attack on the desert pigmen all the more perplexing. As the corporation's forces clash with the defenders at Capital Bridge, the depth of Avarice's role in the creation of the ominous 'Weapon M' too becomes more apparent, and begs the question of how much deeper into the darkness the Spiter King's plans spiral.

Bulback and Bulbous Nymph:
Two things about this teaser:
-I've revamped a couple of old sketches from Imperium's embryonic period for this update! I did so to challenge myself a bit, but also to get better reacquainted with my roots (pun sadly intended) in terms of what I had planned for the world. I've wanted to add a nymph encounter to the game for a while, so I felt it was fitting to go back to the original concept and simply flesh it out a little more. I hope you like the result!
- This is another 'secret' optional boss that is tied to a specific relationship questline in the game. I didn't spoil the last one of these, but in this case I will: it's specific to dating Abby!

Faras and Skarab I:
Another tidied-up old concept sketch! Faras currently leads a band of nomads from out of the far reaches of the Tangerine Desert (the largest desert in Central Imperium and the location of the great pigman city Khamen, among other things). He owes allegiance to nobody... is what he'd like to think, if he didn't owe Guscorp a bunch of money he doesn't have for the privilege of operating the steam golem prototype, Skarab I. While he has not been seen in months, rumours suggest it would not be unusual for him to make an appearance at Capital Bridge if his contacts at Guscorp require it of him...

This is the last teaser I'll be posting for Capital Bridge, folks! The update's going to arrive within the next few days, and I don't have much left to tease (of what I CAN tease without spoiling too much of course), so please accept this really cute screencap of what is actually a bug I encountered while testing the new Iron Gut Contest! Leslie will not in fact compete with her cat on her lap, but I thought the image was too blessed not to share~
