Dear Patrons,

I am pleased to present ad-free, early access to the final part in our Apollo Program series! What happens when lightning knocks out your guidance system a few seconds after launch? How did an astronaut's sock save the lives of the Apollo 13 crew? And who was the first person to play golf on the Moon?! All these questions and more are answered in this video, brilliantly written, edited and animated by James Malcolm. I hope you enjoy.

In other production news, I am currently working on the HMS Victory and Battle of Salamis projects, both of which are extremely ambitious in scope, and are some months away from completion. (You can currently ask me literally anything about the construction and operation of a Napoleonic warship, and I'm pretty sure I know the answer). More updates soon.

Finally, I'll be back next week to kick off TWO polls to pick new topics: one for a single video, and another for a short series.. so stay tuned.

I hope you all enjoy the new video and your weekend, and thank you again for your support!

Toby

Wow this is the best space program documentaries I've ever watched. Will you consider doing more episodes on the construction of the Space station or the age of space shuttle? I'd love to see more space related videos. Nice content!

Thanks Jom, glad you liked it! No current plans for more space trips unfortunately, but I won't rule it out. It would need to get a lot of support here on Patreon.

What a fantastic series... Kept me enthralled across all three episodes! It still amazes me that they achieved these remarkable feats of engineering, aeronautics, physics and mathematics with 1960s and 70s technology... Considering most of us now own a device with far more computing power than anything NASA and the USSR had during the space race, just imagine the boundaries we could have pushed if investment and interest in both nations programmes had remained... We as a species have a lot of catching up to do...

Glad you enjoyed it! I totally agree, the technology seems so primitive today, yet they achieved feats we are struggling to replicate now. Such an incredible story.
