Dear Patrons,

I hope you are all safe and well during this strange and difficult time. It's not always ideal to be living through history..

Here work continues on the final episode of our Napoleonic Wars series: the French campaign of 1814, which many regard as Napoleon's finest.

In what may prove a controversial decision (!), I won't be focusing on a single battle, but will attempt to cover the whole campaign in detail at the operational level. (This is where it's easiest to see Napoleon's brilliance at work.) Hopefully finished in approx 4 weeks.

Covering the campaign in detail requires a big new campaign map - and I would like your feedback on a couple of possible styles:

Option 1 has lots of detail: forests, fields, snow...

Option 2 is much simpler, but perhaps easier to follow:

Which would you prefer to see in the new video?? I look forward to your thoughts and votes.

Thank you again for all your support. More updates soon.

Toby

Hi there! I’m new to this Patreon. I just want to say thank you for all the amazing content, and I have a request. Your original video on Waterloo is what got me interested in the channel, and looking at the difference in length and detail between the Battle of Leipzig and Waterloo videos makes me want a long form video covering the Battle of Waterloo and the aftermath. That being said, that’s only a personal request and I am ultimately just excited to see what comes next for the channel! Thank you!

Hi Zachary, welcome and many thanks. At the end of the current Nap series (after the next video) we'll have a vote on what's next. I'm happy to make some more Napoleonic videos if that's what people want, and a return to Waterloo could be among them.
