You noticed Kilgrave's purple suit, if you recall, when Jessica was tormented by PTSD of him, it's always purple lighting. In the comics, he's called "The Purple Man." His skin is actually purple.

I can tell you don't have that side of you because your first thought was 'Was she thinking of stopping it? (the train)' No, she was thinking of letting it hit her, hoping it could end her pain. She was thinking about just dying to stop all the hurt she was bearing in her everyday life. I hate that I know that's what she was thinking.
