I'm pretty sure the guy that Ben was talking to, used to be a mob boss but after going away to do his 10 years in prison he's now just an informant to Ben. The guy that they were talking about wasn't Daredevil it was actually Fisk, the "new player on the field". Also technically Mr Healy was innocent, the only reason that we knew he was a bad guy was because we saw his backstory of him getting a gun illegally, but other than that it pretty much was self-defense.
