My take was he was lying when he said he enjoys the interrogations as a way to intimidate the guy. Enjoyable reaction, as always

The big fight scene at the end is known as the 'hallway scene' by Marvel fans, and is one of the most famous fight scenes in whole of Marvel (and maybe outside as well).

His dad giving him the envelope of money in the stitching scene = we both knew he was going to destroy me in that fight. He's needed an anonymous win to build to fighting Mike Tyson or something. Simply fighting gets us good for a nice while.

My take on the envelope of money his dad had at the beginning was that he was paid to throw the fight. The people paying him then get a surefire win by placing all their money on the other guy. Yes, it is illegal because it's rigging the fight.

One slight correction is that Matt's dad wasn't betting on himself before to lose, those guys were paying him to lose. They got him high profile fights, which he wanted to do, but then they "asked" him to lose. You can see in his face he didn't want to throw the fight. They're mobsters. So, when he agreed to do the fight and to lose, they didn't take kindly to him going back on their deal, since they must've lost a TON of money.

The idea that this vigilante beating up all these experienced mobsters is blind literally never crosses anyone's mind. 'Cause that would be insane...right? He's got a mask, they just assume he can see through it. So, as the masked man, he has a target on his back (that's why he got beat up and ended up in the dumpster, they set a trap for the masked man) but no one suspects that guy is a blind lawyer. ;-)
