hi friends!

here is my timed reaction to the acolyte season 1 episode 5 "night"

i was shocked at the length of this episode, but it's still exciting since we got to learn who mae's master is!!! very confused about mae/osha/sol, so looking forward to the next episode!

Sucks that Sol had to hear Qimir say he's Sith. Now he will likely die or fall to the dark side cause we know Maul was the first Sith to be seen/reveal themselves in a millennia. Very curious to learn more about Sol's past.

Now that Dave Filoni (together with Pablo Hidalgo) is responsible for the whole story line of Star Wars. I am pretty sure they have checked that this series does not redcon any of the lore. I therefor share the same fear for Sol (and also Osha and Mae in that case) in this series.

"I have no name but Jedi like you might call me Sith" is an odd way to phrase it if it he were a "true" Sith in the sense of being someone in the chain between Darth Bane and Palpatine. In the EU material there were multiple groups who tried to revive the Sith or just called themselves "Sith" because it was the only word anybody knew for "anti-Jedi". It's looking to me like they're using a chiastic structure, with the paired titles for the first two episodes, "Destiny" for the flashback from Osha's perspective, then "Day" and "Night" as the middle two episodes, with Osha and Mae switching places. If I'm right, the next episode will have a title that mirrors "Destiny" somehow and be the flashback from Mae's perspective, with two more paired-title episodes to wrap up the season.
