Oh Man!! I remember when this episode first aired and a lot of people who read the books were very unhappy about this episode. Certain things were left out and I remember being very disappointed. First of all, why didn’t anyone ask where Ian was? I get that it happened off camera, but the fact that Ian traded himself for Roger was important enough that it should have been mentioned. I absolutely love Ian and was so sad to see that he was staying with the Mohawk, but was also very proud of him and he was happy. Imon, Jamie was upset that Roger needed time to think. Jamie considers himself a man of honor and men of honor don’t need time to do the right thing. When Claire needed to get married, he didn’t need to take time, so he expected Roger to come back with them, no questions. I wanted to see Jamie and Brianna talking and working through all the things they said, but all we got was the scene when Jamie and Claire first arrive and see Bree and then Jamie passes her a plate of food at dinner. Really?!!!! That’s all we get after what happened between them. That made me angry. I love me some Jamie/Brianna scenes. In the books, Jamie and Claire did make it back in time for the birth. Claire was delivering the baby, of course and if I remember correctly, Jamie was very uncomfortable and wanted to leave, but Bree insisted that he hold her hand, so he stayed by her side comforting her during the birth. In the book it is so sweet and I wanted to see that. I have no idea why they changed it, but again, when I saw Bree give birth before J&C returned made me angry. Putting together Murtagh and Jocasta was such a great surprise. Since he died at Culloden, this is a sweet storyline.

I've read some of the comments on YouTube about Roger and people say he's different in the books, I don't know why the writers would want us to hate him at first and then grow to like him. Maybe it's like what you said, to show us a persons growth, to show that people can change. I loved the scene with Roger and Jamie, at first Roger thought Bree had said terrible things about him to Jamie and Claire and that's why Jamie beat him and sold him. It was sad when he found out what happened to Bree. He then learns she's pregnant, he said it's all too much, that he needs time. I would have been so angry if he never came back to her. The ending was beautiful, he tells her he loves her, that he always will, and then he says "Take me to see my son." One of the best things about season four of Outlander is getting to learn about the Cherokee and the Mohawk a little. I'm glad Ian traded himself to the Mohawk. I would live with them, learn from them. I love when two cultures come together, there's just something really beautiful about it. I like at the end when you talked about the power of the stones and how it was interesting that the people who have traveled back in time have used it to warn their people and the only person who hasn't done that is Claire, and she is not one of the people that takes lives, she helps sustain life and that a healer is always going to be good, but with Geillis and Tawineonawira "otter tooth" the guy from the Mohawk they took lives. You said "That's not what they want, whatever the powers that be in this series, the magical powers, they dont want that, they want people to come in and take care of each other." You said that's the feeling that you get. I like that. You're beautiful, always. <3

Yes, thankfully we do see Ian again but it takes a while.
