Growing up as a Seventh Day Adventist I had heard a lot about Desmond Doss. Watching the movie was an amazing experience. What a beautiful soul.

I love this movie, I never understood how people drew strength from religion, but that scene where Desmond is saving his men and asking God, please just one more. That's when I finally understood how people draw strength, its from their faith. A word you know all to well, the fact that your name means Faith means that you kinda have to believe, that must be a heavy burden at times. I haven't seen this for a while, but I will watch it with you later tonight. I hope all is well Imon, I know you had trouble with your hard drive and I hope it all works out. <3

Wow, Mel is still a really good filmmaker. At 26:35-26:50 that really sounds like Mel Gibson's voice as they get on to the army bus. Like a voice cameo. This was a really powerful movie and at times difficult to watch because of how intense and emotional the battle scenes get. But a really a well done film. I recommend the HBO series Band of Brothers. 10 episodes created by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks. I think it's one of the best series ever made and it's about WWII in Europe. It was made in 2001 and stars a lot of really famous actors who were relatively unknown at the time. It's also very historically accurate.

I love a story of someone who stands for what they believe in, even when it makes no sense to others, they will look at you different, you will feel like and outcast, and even if they don't see things the way you do, maybe in time they can at least try to see things a little different. The things Desmond had to endure in the beginning, the way he was treated, and I get why, having the man fighting next to you who won't take a life, could cost you you're own. It was nice to see his men realize just how wrong they were about him, and that all he wanted to do was just help people. I love what he said "While everybody else is taking life, I'm gonna be saving it". I love what you said at the start of the movie when Desmond saves his first life, you said "What we do with our hands, We can either hurt or we can help, We can tear down or we can create..... build". I love watching TV with you Imon, I can see how much you care for what you do, its not just a job to you, its a passion. I love how you're able to feel what the character feels in that moment and express it on screen, its always so beautiful to see. I can't believe you mentioned Tombstone that's one of my favorite's. That movie has so many great scenes. That one scene at the end where Doc Holiday asks Wyatt what he wants and he says "Just to live a normal life" then Doc says "There is no normal life Wyatt, there's just life, now get on with it" and then Wyatt says "I don't know how". I would love to see you react to some of your favorite movies one day, movies like Leon The Professional, The Last Samurai, Hook, and maybe even Edward Scissorhands. <3
