J1 2023 Squad Depths (Patreon)

Hope you had a great one!

We are not far away from the start of the J1 season. In the next week we will see teams start pre-season training and also go away for training camps. This can give a lot of indicators of who is inline to start, which is especially important for teams like Gamba and Urawa who have new managers.

I have made a team by team squad depth chart which can be found here

For each team it gives:

• Expected formation
• Squad depth by position
• Set piece takers
• Highlights new signings and U23 players
• Transfer rumours/positions I feel needs filling

I based these on 1) lineups from last year 2) research on Japanese sites especially fan sites/blogs. Like anything there will be some bias and a lot of the positions were v hard to call/will change depending on news. 

I will update this regularly and also do I plan to do a series of posts highlighting best players for Sorare, hidden gems and also u23s I like for next season. If you have anything you would like to see, just let me know!
