Hello! Sorry, it took a while for me to make my first post. We're so focused on finishing the v1.0 of Lovecraft Locker that we didn't have the time to think about what to post here. But now that v1.0 is out, we'll have more time to do stuff like this and think other things over.

So, this will just be a short post about our ideas and plans for Lovecraft Locker. As we've stated on Itch, we know Lovecraft Locker is a direct clone of Tentacle Locker, but our aim is to eventually make our game distinguishable and considerably different.

Let's start on plans.

One of our major future and long-term plans for Lovecraft Locker is content, i.e. the slow addition of more girls, body positions, story, and even entire "hallway" levels. Basically, stuff that is essential in the game already, just visually or mechanically different.

Probably the most exciting part of these content updates is the "Dimensional Lockers".

As we've said in our blog post, Dimensional Lockers are basically non-interactable lockers with a passive ability to spawn a specific fan-made character from popular media, mostly going to be anime. This allows us not only to make fan requests for popular wifus, but also allow them to be integrated into the game in an organic way. Some of these future wifus can have unique abilities that can make the game harder, like wings for flight, or invisibility.

We also plan to eventually make the gameplay part of the game more like a game, not just some typical NSFW game with minimal playable parts. Some of our plans include objects in the hallway that can influence the path of the girls to make the abduction part challenging, some lockers will be marked as "out of order" to limit the player, etc.

Now, let's talk about ideas.

Note that these are just still ideas, and still have no guarantee to be added to the game.

Perhaps one of the largest and most likely to be implemented idea at the moment is the addition of more "Elder gods", aside from the current one. Not only that this will force us to alter the introduction cutscenes to fit the Elder god, but it will also give us some ideas for unique abilities for them and have different colored and textured tentacles for our ladies to enjoy!

We also thought of adding "double occupant" lockers, where you can abduct a second girl on a locker already occupied by another. This will generate some "lesbian" or "two-some" scenes which should be spicy as hell!

We still have plenty of ideas lying around in sticky notes, but for now, these should spice up and let you know Lovecraft Locker will be expanded further in the coming months.

See you on my next post!

I definitely think the game is too hard at the moment. I did a couple playthroughs doing one at a time, and one of them I had 23 spooks by the third girl. One of the girls spooked ten of them in one go. What I think needs to change is if you grab a girl who's spooked, the counter doesn't go up, otherwise it's way too easy to skyrocket those numbers. I also think the spook is being counted twice when you have multiple girls walking away and one gets spooked.

Granted, I got to level 12 of the game before you released 1.0 I was on 0.9.5 I think.

I think a better mechanic than "number of girls spooked" would be "girls grabbed in a level" and on a time limit of sorts. "Grab x girls before time runs out" and maybe optional "objectives" as well. However I do see a problem with that being time spent watching the animations and time in the locker aren't 1:1. So at that point, I believe you could probablu either make those times 1:1, or have some sort of calculation running that determines how much time left in not viewing the locker animation vs the same time spent watching the animation?

I see, these are definitely insightful. We're already considering on adding a few tweaks to the overall gameplay: 1.) Add some sort of "cool off" period to a girl once they exit a locker (after being abducted). This cool off period is the duration to which they will spook the girls on their way off the hallway. After that period, they won't spook any other girls again. This will be visually indicated through their facial expression. 2.) Also, we're already planning on either pausing or reducing the processing time of the hallway if a locker scene is active, since you can still get some spooks while watching a locker scene. We're pretty happy with the Spook mechanic already, so we can't replace it. However, the objectives aspect can be made as alternative winning routes. But that's something we'll still have to experiment with.
