There's still a whooole lot of small changes and fine tuning left to do here... Buuutt I did say that I was pretty determined to post the full length wip before the end of the month. Sooo after doing a few weeks of crunching, I now present to you... The first look at the entirety of Happy Accident Part 2 in all it's kinky glory!
Now there's still a lot of clip hunting, audio balancing, color correction, thumbnail making, etc., etc. before I render it all in Full HD. So it's still not too late to give your precious feedback!
And as always, Please do feel free to be as pedantic as you'd wanna be. And I'd do my best to fix up any issue you may find before the final release :3
On another, more technical, maybe even boring yet I still wanna talk about it coz I'm proud of it, topic :p... I tried a new workflow for the ending!
You see... the way I usually go about making animations, is by first doing the first-draft (duh), then polishing it as much as I can, before finally adding the audio! Which works just fine most of the time.
The prob arises tho, when the sound track that I'd like to go with that scene, just absolutely refuses to fit in...
Maybe the peaks of the song doesn't align well with the points of interest in the animation (like a climax or a particularly big squirt). Or maybe the song is just simply too long or too short. And since I've already fully polished the animation, I couldn't really adjust it anymore to fit the song. So I always end up having to wrestle with it until it does, or I just find a different song that fits better.
However!!! A couple months back, I was feeling pretty spent from animating the same thing for months on end, and I decided to do a Xiangling sad cat dance as a nice change of pace... And from that little side project, I learned to sync the animation to the music, instead to doing it the other way round.
So this time, I decided to apply that experience to my normal workflow.
Now, after doing the first-draft. I then immediately do the BGM, then adjust the timings of the first draft to match the beats of the resulting BGM. Before finally doing the final polishing of the animation and adding in the SFX for the cherry on top... And it worked great!
Ofc it adds a lil more extra steps to the production, but I'd say it's pretty worth it :3
Anyways, I was planning on delving more onto other topics today, but now that the rush of finally getting to post the full length wip is wearing out. I'm starting to feel drowsy again. So I think I'll just reserve the rest of the topics for the Full HD release... Sorry bout that :p
And yeah! Hope you like it you absolute Chad!
PS1: Google drive uploads suuuper slowly, so I'll just add the link to that at a later date :3 -done!
PS2: Ahhh! I forgor to add the knocking on the door SFX... Oh well XD.
