This Hat of Arcane Armaments, with its classic wizard's hat appearance, channels its magical essence into the one who attunes and wears it, granting access to two spells capable of conjuring mystical weapons for manipulating and controlling the battlefield. Upon activation of one of these spells, the hat briefly pulses with energy, bringing forth the corresponding weapon into existence for the attack then vanish.

Arcane Shot (1st level spell):

As an action, with a deft motion and a whispered incantation, you conjure an ethereal bow made of pure arcane energy. Make a ranged spell attack against a creature within range. On a hit, the target suffers 1d8 force damage. Additionally, if the target is of size Medium or smaller, it is pushed 10 feet away by the force of the arrow. The bow and arrow disappear after firing.

Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the damage increases by 1d8 for each slot level above 1st.

Mindflame Incision (1st level spell):

As an action, you conjure a spectral sword imbued with psychic energy. Make a melee spell attack against a target within your reach. On a hit, the target takes 1d8 psychic damage and is Blinded until the end of its next turn. The spectral sword disappears after the attack.

Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the damage increases by 1d8 for each slot level above 1st.

Lore/History

History: Crafted by an ancient mage guild, these hats were mass-produced and distributed among the most skilled wizards enlisted in the king's army. Each hat is a unique piece, with its own blend of magical enchantments, reflecting the individual artistry and expertise of the ancient mage guild. Some hats may grant the ability to summon mystical shields or launch arcane projectiles, while others enhance the user's ability to manipulate elemental forces. Lost to time, the few remaining hats are sought after for their potent magical abilities.
