Belt of Shocking (Patreon)

The Belt of Shocking is a finely crafted accessory, made from supple leather. The buckle of the belt is fashioned in the shape of a stylized lightning bolt.

Electric Discharge: Once per short rest, as a bonus action, you can release electric arcs in a 5-foot radius around you. Creatures within must make a DC 14 Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, they take 3d6 lightning damage and are Stunned until the start of your next turn. On a successful save, they take half damage and avoid the stun condition.

Lore/Quest

Legends speak of a hidden chamber within the ancient Temple of Thunder, that is said to house the fabled Belt of Shocking. To reveal the chamber, three rare gems must be collected and placed in the altar within the temple. Each gem is attuned to a different aspect of the storm (rain, thunder, and lightning) and guarded by elemental guardians.
