This scimitar is forged from obsidian and features a jagged, black blade.

You gain a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.

Dreadful Strike. On a critical hit, the target must make a DC 14 Wisdom saving throw or be Frightened of you until the end of your next turn.

Obsidian Sentinel Set Bonus:

When both the Obsidian Sentinel Scimitar and the Obsidian Sentinel Shield are wielded and attuned to the same character, you gain the following abilities:

Sentinel's Mastery. Your critical hit threshold with the scimitar is increased to 19-20.

Dreadful Protector. As an action, you can channel the combined power of the scimitar and shield to create a wave of dread that emanates from you in a 15ft radius. Creatures within this area must make a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw or be Frightened for 1 minute. They can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of their turns, ending the effect on a success. Once you use this ability, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.
