A few of the servants stepped aside as the three women dashed down the long corridor, stopping dead in front of the large doors and composing themselves for a moment, before Miryala swung them open.  “Ah, there you are! I was about to send for you.” Lady Sivallien said in her usual no-nonsense tone. “As I’m sure Miryala has informed, we’re to meet with the council today…approximately…right now.” Pilniss Sivallien presented a striking figure, a tall elven woman, dressed in a formal gown of dark blue with silver patterns on it. The only incongruous detail that gave away the maverick streak that ran through her spirit was the loose ponytail her hair was arranged in. It was almost as if she had gone to great effort to arrange her hair in a way that said “I don’t have time for coiffures.”

Emeline the castellan stopped waiting on her liege to look them over. Inspecting their armor, clothing, and appearances, she paused a moment to wipe a bit of honey from Miri’s breastplate. Then, she nodded in assent, and handed the elven Lady a sealed scroll. Lady Sivallien gestured for her entourage to stand nearer her in the stone circle at the center of the hall. Then, she cracked open the wax seal. A bright light appeared and engulfed them.

Minna didn’t like portal travel, and this was well-known. Miri hoped her comrade could keep her composure in the few seconds it took travelling through time and space to the unknown location of the Council Chambers. The council was, of course, staying right in Rynchus. But all business was conducted in chambers, at an unknown location. It was safer from prying eyes and listening ears.
