I warned you this was coming!  This may be my strangest video yet (at least in the context of what else is on this channel) but hopefully you find it interesting.  I've always liked to explain the sorts of behind-the-scenes stuff that you might not think about.

My last video has done very well, in fact I've gained well over 12 thousand subscribers from it!  Thank you to each and every one of you for keeping this channel going, as I couldn't have done it without your support.

Roller Coaster Safety: How to Manage Too Many Trains at Once

You can support this channel on Patreon! Link below Roller coasters are pretty neat, I must say. But they rely on passive vehicles holding fragile humans while zooming around at high speeds. That can be a tough task to manage, but it's not impossible. This video shows you how it's done. Excellent diversion!

Jason Wellband

Even though I never really liked roller coasters and rides as a kid (Monster Plantation at Six Flags over ATL scared the crap out of me haha), I too have been interested in how they work. Great video!

Kyle Olson

I've read that Space Mountain, at least at Disneyland, weighs the cars during the stop before the launch to improve the spacing of the cars.

Ooh! That's very interesting. The loading area at WDW has this large countdown sequence display that is synchronized between the two sides. In the past they would always send trains on cue with the last display to ensure they were always "racing". I was watching the displays and they are going too fast these days. It seems like they've given up doing that, and perhaps a similar control system is now in place.

Stephen Bell

I didn't know was interested in that before watching the video. Thanks, Alec. :)
