I’m blaming me not recognizing the ICONIC Keith David’s voice on the fact that I was extremely jet lagged and hadn’t watched Amphibia in over a month (I recorded Marcy At The Gates in the beginning of August). Still… feel free to roast me in the comments for the next 4 videos (AKA the time it takes me to realize) 😅 … Yeah, I’ll see myself out

I like how each of the three races of amphibians relate to one of the girls respectively. Anne, the girl who doesn't have much of anything special going on with her, simply excels at being a loyal friend, identifies with the hardworking and neighborly farm-culture frogs. Sasha, the assertive leader who's used to getting her way, connects with the militant toads who exploit their toughness to intimidate others into submission. And Marcy, the harmless genius who has a ceaseless appetite for excuses to use her brain to fight boredom, feels right at home with the enlightened scholarly newts, in a fantasy world with real magic and their bottomless well of history.

Aw. In scavenger hunt I also felt really sad for Anne because she felt so down. But you're correct, everyone has their own strengths and everyone brings something positive to situations and life in general (I mean...almost everyone. Probably not serial killers or something). Also agree about it taking some time to fully internalize that. It certainly took me a while to get comfortable with myself compared to teenage Tim. ALSO! Alycia Persephone Gwendolyn Dweeb (I only know your first name so I took some artistic liberty with the rest of it), I know you were mostly just joking around, but from what I've seen you're far from dumb and the fact that you put yourself out there on a YouTube channel is far more than the vast majority of people could ever say they had the courage to do. But yeah, Anne does have a lot going for her. Super brave, funny, charismatic, outgoing, empathetic. Though she does sometimes need to temper her super impulsive nature and being a bit self-centered at times. But we've talked about that before and it's likely just part of basically being a kid still. One other rando note. I mentioned I could see a bit of ASD in Marcy. The whole "I have a hard time making eye contact with people" reinforced that a little bit. Ok, in The Plantars Check In...I don't trust the king. His voice was WAY more sinister sounding when we first heard him speak. I have a feeling he's not everything he's pretending to be. BUT...Marcy seems to be taking his behavior at face value, and she's ostensibly been around him quite a bit. So who knows. One other thing I found interesting is that when he was introduced, she called him "Peacekeeper of a thousand years and the first of his name." Does that actually mean he's 1000 years old? If so, then I'm even more suspicious. Someone that old would not only have a very hard time relating to those with mortal lifespans, but would also have had countless centuries to perfect pretty much any manipulation tactic necessary. Not to mention being able to exercise an incredible amount of patience. We'll see how things unfold.

Absolutely! And they wrote it in a way such that the amphibians are gaining a lot from the girls as well! Not only something unique from each girl, but at this point all three of them have no doubt gotten them hooked on Suspicion Island by now.
