Well ... finally, an episode got to me.

As I've watched more and more episodes, I've become more convinced that Powder/Jinx is the way I visualized a certain character in my fanfic, so I'm interested to see how it ends.

I dunno ... Jinx seems like such an important character that I don't think she's kaput.

A while back I read a comment on another reaction to this episode and it pointed out that all of Jinx’s little bug bombs seemed to be specifically targeting guns, which would be a really smart idea for two reasons: 1) it makes the explosions more deadly, and 2) anyone with a gun that survives the the initial explosion can’t use it to shoot her. The comment also pointed out that Caitlyn would have likely died in the explosion if she hadn’t traded her prized gun for Vi’s medicine in the previous episode.

I love it when reactors and other YouTubers intercut their editing self to make a correction or extrapolate their thoughts! While it’s great to also still see the first impression or initial thoughts on something, it’s also great to get your take on something that’s changed after you had time to think about it or rewatch the video. And I think it makes the reaction even more genuine because it shows that you’re not just gonna cut something out if you think it might be wrong.

As for favorite characters, even though we barely got to see him, after watching this episode for the first time Ekko immediately shot to my number 1 spot. It’s just the combination of his intelligence, inventiveness, physical capabilities, compassion, and his really cool character design! Caitlyn is a close second for me, because she’s just such a genuinely good, kind person, and she has a nice balance between being an optimist and a realist. Like she’s just naive enough to be realistic for the environment in which she was raised, but she doesn’t let it completely blind her to the reality other people face, if that makes sense? Vi is my third favorite, honestly because she’s just so cool. From everything in her character design to her parkour skills to her physical and mental toughness. Also she’s subtly one of the funniest characters on the show. Honorable mention goes to Mel Medarda for being the single most beautiful animated character I’ve ever seen. She’s just physically flawless.

You're taking the words out of my mouth, You've perfectly summed up why these three characters are my favourites, only I put Caitlyn at number one for all the reasons you gave. I always liked characters (or people in general) that always want to see the good in other people, who preserve some of that innocent naivety that we had as children. Yet at the same time they are so emphatic and smart, that they don't trust blindly. That's a thing Ekko and Caitlyn have in common, imo. Vi is similar, in her own way. Behind her cool badass attitude she is very vulnerable. Vander was her rock and without him she is constantly tumbling and seeking hold. I would love see Caitlyn taking this role, calming her, balancing her. They've already taken the first steps in this direction. 💖 Ekko and the firelights in general are my favourite faction in this story. They seem to follow a strictly no killing approach in their fight, unless their lives are in danger, and even then they rather try to escape if possible. (3 episodes later and I still can't get over the pink haired girls death🙈) Their goal is to undermine Silcos power by destroying his shimmer production, because they all had experienced the devastating effects of shimmer and/or lost people they cared about to it. And Ekko and his group are the only ones beside Viktor who we actually did see doing something good for the people of the undercity. They took other lost children and young adults in, gave them a family, built a new home together. That's pretty admirable under these circumstances. 😍

This comment is really nice, thank you 🥹 Yeah it can be kind of embarrassing when I get it wrong (not confirming or denying my theories here- just saying in general) but if I’m gonna call something a blind reaction and review I want to be honest and leaves those bits in!
