You should see a doctor about those two growths on the top of your head, they've become noticable.

OMG I just NOW watched avatar and as I finished commenting this popped up, yay. I'm a little bit bummed it wasn't actually on Halloween and I guess I could wait a couple more days but naaah I don't want to haha. Not gonna lie I was secretly hoping you had a carved pumpkin or somesuch setup but I guess I have to provide that myself if I want it hehe.

+Hahaha Korvo totally gave me Alycia vibes this episode. 🤣 I mean a little more violent and stuff for sure but yeah...I guess it was just funny to me imagining you with a shotgun haphazardly shooting around you in a panicked fashion when a spider comes on or something vaguely spooky. 🤣 That crazy clown asteroid in the intro totally reminded me of that screaming asteroid in Rick & Morty. So funny how Yumulac just dunked on hell and was having none of it! That Tim Burton burn haha.. When the Big Pumpkin came I was naturally waiting for the turn and how the wholesome thing was going to be ruined but I didn't think Korvo would just stab the shit out of him for like a super lackluster escape plan costume lol....it did like nothing 😂. Personally I love Halloween, for similar reasons that the Big Pumpkin mentioned that we "set free the artifice from our lives and connect to our primal truth". You see a lot of dead people and zombies and stuff and while that's not the point of Halloween to most people probably it always makes me think about how we probably sanitized the way we deal with death way too much and it's probably to our loss....sometimes I think it might be healthier to be sobbingly digging a grave with our bare hands like Harry Potter did for Dobby than it is to hand them off to strangers and then basically not having anything to do with them anymore until the funeral and even then unless it's an open coffin it's so out of sight and out of touch I think a piece of our collective experience gets sanitized away with that...sorry I know that's a weird morbid thing to talk about on a cartoon special lol but every time Halloween rolls around I think about that...that some of the artifice of our lives just makes us lose something that most people don't even realize and I think it makes grieving much harder. Also I'm a fucking weirdo and I was never ashamed of that or tried to hide it, I never saw the point of playing a part for someone else's benefit. But a lot of other people do hide things because they feel like they have to or that their life is easier if they do or something but on Halloween SOMETIMES even if just for the briefest moment or just by a tiny percentage people drop their masks a little bit by putting on another one and that's when I usually like people more! I LOVE people who are just really themselves and even tho not everyone is like that on Halloween and it also didn't happen every Halloween but sometimes people's inhibitions drop a smidgeon and their true soul comes out way more than in everyday life so one day a year I feel like I get to know some people's true self just a little bit more than during the year so I feel way more connected to my fellow humans on that day...that's why I love it not because I love dressing up or scaring people or something but because sometimes for some people it gives them an excuse to be more who they are and I love it, so for me Halloween is actually a pretty wholesome thing. 😁🎃

I liked Halloween growing up, I mean there are aspects I like about it still, like new horror movies coming out and the like, but really I don't really do much of anything for any holiday anymore. I think about all we do for holidays is a nice meal on Thanksgiving and Christmas. I mean we don't even get trick or treaters in my neighborhood, there aren't many kids in this neighborhood it's got a lot of younger couples and older couples who have grown children. (I could be wrong because even though I've lived here for around 6 years I've met all of 4 of my neighbors and one of them may not count as meeting because we happen to be leaving a store at the same time and she stopped me and asked my name and it turned out she was someone I went to school with so technically we already knew each other.) I think the last time I did anything for Halloween was almost 15 years ago when my friend's sister in laws boyfriend at the time had a small Halloween party. I mean considering they are now broken up, she's married to a different guy and has 2 kids it's been a while. In fact I haven't seen her for several years, as they moved for her husband's job, it sounds weird thinking about me knowing much about my friend's sister in law but in my defense since my friend and his wife have been together since high school and we're all in our early 40's it makes sense I know his inlaws pretty well.

AYYY BEEN WAITING

Omg how embarrassing 😭 How did I overlook them when editing!? I’ll never live this down 🫠

ELISA YOUR THUMBNAIL 🤣🤣🤣 WHEN I TELL YOU I AM LAUGHING OUT LOUD IN THE AIRPORT TERMINAL RN 🤣🤣🤣 No, no don’t apologize at all! That really resonates with me. I never gave it too much thought but I think you’re right that the way we handle death is to our detriment. I wish we had something like “The Day of the Dead” in other countries. A celebration of life and death feels much more authentic to me than the all-black-clothed mourning process. And I do think the sanitation of burials is the same. Probably not as helpful for our healing than if we laid our loved ones to rest. I love this way of looking at Halloween!!!! Omg wait did you just convert me!? 😱🧡 Maybe I am a Halloween stan after all!

alyciadweeb

Yeah it feels like Halloween sort of gets lost in the mix with the other holidays if you’re not intentional about celebrating it. And honestly as an adult, like you were saying, unless you get kids trick or treating or go out to party… there’s not really much to it lol. But it’s good you still enjoy a little horror in your life through the movies!

I'm very much a Yumyulack, guy when it comes to Halloween. I will always like the festivities just cause it was always fun to go trick or treatying as a kid but my logical mind has never been to afraid of made up things. Does not compute :P

Haha YES success 😆 I was having a harder time than with the Christmas Special finding not only a fun moment to use but also one which isn't too chaotic with the scene composition. It was either this or Terry and Jesse taking a bath 😁 In the end this one won out because 2 people in a bathtub doesn't exactly scream Halloween hrhr.

I'm so envious of this! My imaginative brain has always taken the drivers seat. I wish I could tap into a more logical side of myself when it comes to scary things 🤣
