I'm really interested to hear your opinions on this episode. I think what happened between 2 of the characters was quite controversial (you'll know who once you watch lol I don't want to give anything away). And I'm curious if you feel similarly to me about it or if you have a different take.

Let's see if my comment sticks this week. ^^ This was definitely a cool episode and honestly it raised more questions than it answered but there is definitely something bigger to King's backstory. I mean he's probably not the King of Demons but I mean that WAS like a castle or a keep or something at some point I wonder what happened to it...maybe the fall of the titan or something destroyed it and whatever King's race is preceded the whole of the boiling isles? Really curious to see if we get more to this story this season. Also baby King omg 🤩 Such an adorable little thing hehe. Season 2 is so good I love it and we're getting ever closer to the second half that I haven't seen I can't wait it's taking everything in my power not to watch ahead...must...resist. 😆

This was such a great episode. I can't believe how moved I was by King's emotional struggle. They did such an excellent job of riding the line of truth and fantasy regarding his origins, even in King's fragile mind. Hopefully, we get to fill in some more blanks on that this season. I really thought they were going to reveal that he actually WAS the "King of Demons" in the end, The images of the larger one were definitely reminiscent of King. Even if he isn't, it would seem that he may, at least, be the PRINCE of demons...unless his father is dead; in which case, he WOULD now actually be the king of demons. So I guess it may be apropos to call him "King", or at least "The demon formally know as 'Prince'" I just realized: Isn't there a giant heart or something behind the emperor's throne? What if that heart belongs to King's father? What if that heart is the source of all the emperor's power? What if King's bloodline is the source of ALL magic??? What if King's father is actually calling the shots? What if the emperor and his forces took down King's father? Whenever we go to the coven is King ever actually with them? I can't remember. Could King be the key to everything? I suddenly have so many questions!

Ooh, I’m so glad you’re tracking the episode titles! Idk if you know about this, but there’s also a coded word hidden somewhere in each episode. They’re really hard to find though, and it requires a key to decode. I just go on the subreddit r/OwlHouseMystery to see what each week’s word is. Anyway, the words create a poem. I think Eda has been cursed for 30 years, can`t remember when this was mentioned. This would mean she is in her fourties and would have been in her thirties when she found King.

Oh wow, where to begin with this one!?🌟 Okay firstly this episode really showed me what a great dynamic we have now with the core group of characters. They play really well off each other, I think because there’s a lot of different personalities here and that helps to naturally weave comedy into the dialogue. Lilith’s line about watching the ink dry being her favourite part was hilarious, I love seeing how actually nerdy and weird she is when she’s not working under the coven✨ I also loved the little detail of Hooties crossed out eyes when he was playing dead that really stuck with me and gave me a good chuckle😂 Ayo speaking of Hootie actually WHAT THE- what in the world was that dude I was not prepared to see that😅 omg the comedic timing though of your questioning like “can he???” and then just your immediate look of horror, that had me in stitches🤣🤣🤣 I loved learning more about King in this episode too, it was great that they took an aspect of him that could’ve just been played off as a joke the entire show and made a super interesting and complex episode about it, it answers some questions but also begs a lot of new ones too. As for Eda, it’s a tricky one for sure. On one hand absolutely she shouldn’t have lied to him, making him believe something she knew not to be true his entire life, but it wasn’t exactly a planned situation, she just took King in because he had no where else to go. It seems to me she was just kind of unequipped to take care of a child and chose a short term solution to her problems then stuck with it, he’s happy like this so if I just keep him in this mindset he’ll always be happy. They make it extremely clear in King’s reaction just how damaging that choice was to him though, she plunged him into a full on existential crisis, that mixed with a great performance from Alex made that whole part so hard to watch:c Thank god Luz was there for him though is all I’ll say, she really made him see how much he has now and how loved he is regardless of his past. Honestly I think I would’ve liked to see Eda go after him and have that little heart to heart, it would’ve made the scene a lot more impactful to see Eda really come to terms with how much her carelessness messed him up. But I still liked the *boop!* “no more secrets” interaction that was a cute way to do it, it just felt like she really got off easy there for something so impactful to Kings life I guess. Yeah besides that the way the episode played out as a whole was fantastic definitely up there in my top tier list already✨ Lastly my week’s been great thank you for asking, I’ve been doing some rewatching of the show Better Call Saul with the final season now airing each week and man that show is a amazing, I don’t know if you’re familiar but as a prequel to (imo) one of the best shows ever Breaking Bad I’m truly astonished at how they’ve managed to make something connected to that world so much it’s own. I won’t chew your ear off about it because I really could for a long time but truly a masterpiece if you haven’t checked that out would highly recommend✨ how’s your week been mate?

OK, I guess I have to accept Lilith's redemption after the last 2 episodes. She might let down Eda & disappoint Luz... but she will never betray Hooty. I have to say that King's castle was far, far more impressive than I would have guessed. Im wondering if those wall paintings tie back into the Titan and whether King's father (?) killed the Titan in the first place. I know, Im probably way off of the timeline... but let me have this... pls?

Honestly seeing Lilith’s personality outside the coven makes me understand how she got so caught up with them in the first place. She always wants to be the best and the Emperor coven preaches perfection. WHICH IS ALSO WHY I LOVE HER AND HOOTY AS FRIENDS SO MUCH! Because they are just the most unlikely pair ever 🤣 And omg I know, I was ill-prepared for Hooty leaving the nest lmao And oooh I love the way you break down Eda’s decision-making here. She’s not the most maternal human so I think you hit the nail on the head- if he’s happy, then let’s keep him happy lol. I doubt it was even conscious on her part at the time. I watched the first 2 seasons of Better Call Saul but then fell off it, although I remember being sooo impressed by the cinematography and acting. If it’s going into the final season that might be the perfect time for me to pick it back up! My week has been good too, thanks for asking :) I actually was THIIIIS close to flying to London today! I was sitting standby at the airport and my managers had me pre-board the flight because the flight attendant that was supposed to work it was running late. It was FIVE MINUTES until the boarding door closed and they showed up 😭 I would have been on my way to England rn! *Sigh* There’s always tomorrow! Lol

The day Lilith betrays Hooty is the day I jump into my computer screen and kick her butt myself! Lol I'll pull an Amity- "Stay away from my Hooty!" And honestly I don't think you're off base at all! Billy wrote in a really similar theory and I think you two are onto something! I never thought about the Titan and King's dad being alive around the same time, but King's timeline is so fuzzy it just could be true! Aaaah I'm so excited to find out! I love this show lol

Honestly seeing Lilith reciprocating that same energy and love with Hootie will NEVER get old for me!!!🥺 Their relationship gives me so much life😭🌟 and yeah the detachment from the door just freaked me out because there was still some organs or some kinda tissue left in there, like is he actually the entire door or is it more of a shell to a snail type deal, idk i’m probably thinking way too much into this one off joke😂 I did exactly the same thing with BCS back when it was airing and left it somewhere around season 2/3, then only picked it back up a couple of years ago because I was just hearing so many good things about it. I don’t know if you’ll remember her but the character Kim really made that show for me, such a deeply complex and interesting character to watch and just the way Rhea Seehorn plays her it’s like honestly mindblowing at times, maybe my favourite character in anything ever, how she hasn’t won any awards for that role is just baffling to me. Dang, and I said I wasn’t gonna chew your ear off too, I’m sorry😂 But yeah I’d love to hear your thoughts if you do decide to watch some more! OMG no way you were so close to coming to London that would’ve been so awesome! I think the “ya snooze ya lose” rule should’ve come into effect in that moment tbh lol they can’t get you hyped up like that for a trip to the UK just to let you down💔😂 got all my fingers crossed they’re extra late tomorrow dude🤞😅

This episode is just a small teaser of how big the story of The owl house becomes, so many secrets, mysteries, twists, discoveries, character development, you can't even imagine what's to come. Very excited because you see everything that this season has prepared 😍

Aaaaaah this post just got me so jazzed! The general consensus from everyone is that season 2 just keeps getting better and better. I can't wait to get caught up :D It will be fun to get to react to the season 3 specials as they come out
