Toldja Amity is unrepentantly evil.

One of my very favorite episodes.

Luz hasn't changed ... she is still learning, she doesn't understand the society she is in. Edalyn telling her covens are "bad" is just information, she needs the experience to drive that home.

Piece of advice ... don't look away from the screen to the camera. This show has a lot of great sight gags and you'll miss them. You missed 1322 of them in this episode.

I mean rebelling against convention has to do with what following that convention offers you as a benefit so to me personally it's not surprising that when you discover something you dreamed about your whole life like magic that you are much more likely to put up with following rules or falling in line if that allows you the opportunity to make your dreams come true. :) I hated school because it was boring and at the time I didn't see the point of many things we were taught. But if I would get to go to magic school, especially after having believed magic doesn't exist you better believe I would apply myself and put up with what's expected of me because the apparent benefit is so much more palpable than just learning a bunch of questionably useful facts, hehe. I mean realistically I also wouldn't want to join a coven if I could only do one type of magic instead of all of them, but as an outsider it's easier to be unencumbered by social norms because you haven't grown up with them, I imagine all of those children grew up being told you have to join a coven and being covenless is bad or not an option. Ultimately Luz is just really curious in nature so discovering a whole new world is innately alluring so she's just trying to learn the "rules" and possibilities of her new reality...in order to rebel against something or to reject it you first have to learn about it and then you can disagree or rebel if it conflicts with your values, she just doesn't know enough yet to make up her mind about it. Although arguably in our reality there's heaps of people rebelling against things they basically know nothing about *cough* 😋 At least that's how I see the whole thing. And I'm getting more exited by the week because the show is about to get really good really soon hehe. I can't wait for you to see what's up ahead...I mean you probably already have but I can't wait to watch you react to it. :D

Eda didn't need to hide after she met Lilith, because Lilith told her that for 1 day she wasn`t a fugitive. Since Lilith is the leader of the emperors coven, she has some power to enforce that.

Luz doesn't rebel against authority for the sake of rebeling, she rebels if she doesn't like something and she loves witchcraft. Also in a way she is rebeling since people tell her that humans can't be witches and she tries it anyway.

Wow okay this explanation makes so much sense to me. You put that so well. And I have watched just a little bit ahead and I think I mention the conventional contradiction in a few more episodes so DISREGARD lol! Because I think you hit the nail on the head!

See this is why I need you guys around, you help everything make more sense to me 🤣 Thank you for the insight! ☺️
