I'm curious if you guys had an episode you were partial to out of the first 2 episodes of season 5 of Rick and Morty? I think I enjoyed 1 more, but it may have just been because it was our first episode back after so long and I was just so excited lol!

Let me know if you had a favorite and why :)

PS Hoping to have time to film my episode 3 reaction at some point this week. I will keep you all posted! Have a wonderful day 💖

Probably the 2nd episode more because it reminded me of that old first season Rick and Morty adventures of just pure randomness. Like I know there was an overarching “decoy” storyline but it still felt more random and spontaneous yet still held together as really funny. Very close between the 2 episodes though. You’re going to love episode 3 lol

I thought the second episode was absolutely brilliant in its own right but there was just something extra special to me about that premiere! So many hilarious moments with a classic dark twist that just got so out of hand in the most R&M way!😅 We’ve had a really good run with season openers for this show but I’d say it definitely stands up as one of my favourites, maybe not over Rickshank Rickdemption but it’s still amazing and I love it!✨

I liked the first episode more because I like Jim Gaffigan, and Dan Harmon was hilarious as Mr. Nimbus. Don't get me wrong I still enjoyed episode 2, in fact I went so far as to look up and make sure I was right that the piano music played in the background was Sinnerman by Nina Simone, it was.

Episode 3 is the REALNESS tho....

⭐🦋 Hey, queen dweeb. No R&M comment, haven't watched since season 2. Been watching Loki, though, good stuff! Since you're busy, I decided to make my stories, including the one with your cameos, available for download, so now you can read them whenever you like and not have to dweeb around with FFdN (unless you want to). https://bfdpress.butterflydog.net

⭐🦋 Meh, I thought it was okay. I'm just not into that angsty alternate timeline stuff.

All of the episodes have been great, but I really enjoyed the dual timelines on either side of the portal and the dichotomy of a simplistic story against an epic drama.

I liked episode one a lot more. Episode 2 had no stakes, and no family to care about if they survived or not, because we could never tell if we were following doomed decoys or not.

That was the same reason my roommate liked the 2nd episode more! I totally get that 🤣 Can't wait for ep 3!!!

Based on a poll, a lot of the dweebs agree :D And it would be hard to ever beat Rickshank Rickdemption lol!

I think I will have to change my name from Alycia Dweeb to Starfan1 now.... And become a U-Tewb celebrity XD

Oh my gosh I wasn't able to put my finger on why I liked the first episode so much but I think this is why!!! The contrast was so funny 🤣

alyciadweeb

I totally agree! I appreciated it for its silliness and frivolity but I prefer with the episodes have (or at least appear to have) stakes involved

Jordan

I expected the poll to be a lot less one sided tbh as the second episode was so brilliant! I’ve been hearing great things about episode 3 too (no spoilers so far thankfully) so I’m beyond excited!!✨

⭐🦋 I'm what's known as a sneaky Amish b*st*rd. See, I'm a really good programmer ... I embedded codes in that chapter to activate your camera so I could record your reaction when you read it. I think it's quite darling ... although I have to admit I'm a *little* hurt by your comments at the end. https://youtu.be/c6kEd7GFYUo

That video joke was a year in the making. Never let it said I'm not doggedly committed to ... ooh! Shiny ball!
