I loved season 2, even more than 1. I was positively surprised that is engaged with one of the most interesting questions in SF - what constitutes personhood. On what terms would you attribute personhood to alien intelligence? This is something that you usually find only in hard SF books. And I loved the finale, I was tearing up. Plus soundtrack, I have been into electronic for some time and hearing this synthwave ost was like a cherry on top.

Episodic series dont usually work well when they reach the end of the season/story arc because they feel too rushed. Often this is due to the amount of filler episodes demanded by the studios. But on HBO Max and streaming services there is an opportunity to tell a story with a beginning, middle & end. Thats what we have here. I thought this arc was well handled all the way through. Onto to Book 3 (prob'ly the last)

I absolutely agree that the theme of this season was a deep dive into SF theories and I loooved that. As well as the amazing soundtrack 😭 I'm so happy to hear you liked it so much! :D

I totally agree! They absolutely nailed the pacing in both seasons! Looking forward to what season 3 has in store and keeping all my fingers and toes crossed that by some miracle it's not the last 😭😭
