Where to begin? I am, or at least I think I am, easy to please and I don't expect my cartoons to be flawless masterpiece of storytelling for them to be entertaining. But finale was dreadful for me. I know that creators aimed for bitter sweet ending, but for me it tasted like regret and ash. Took me time to recover from that, and I am still not OK with that ending. People more eloquent than me dissected it over last year so I will just say what hit me personally the most. It is fact that sacrifice of life of all magic beings is just glossed over. Like it is no big deal. I am far from naive (i hope), and I accept that sometimes you are forced to sacrifice few to save many. But it is always a tragedy. And I am not convinced that in this case numbers even add up. How many sentient spells and magic beings there were? More or less than those that were saved from Solarian soldiers swords? Or maybe I am just salty that Hekapoo, waifu on par with Marceline The Vampire Queen, just toss her life away like it was..... nothing. Her last words are creators telling viewers just to ignore it, and I just cannot do that. At the end I think that creators simply ran out of ideas and skill, but it is not end of the world, hopefully will be better on their next project, whichever it may be. Edit: some spelling corrections

Seriously - just too rushed... looked like someone said, "just close it with a happy ending. No one will care after it's over. We have Ducktales, Amphibia & Owl House in the pipeline."

I don't agree with everything he says, but still, I enjoyed hearing his perspective on things, and he brought up some good points I never thought about. I'm right there with you my friend. I'm such an easy audience, and the fact that even I couldn't find a silver lining to this finale really says something lol. The writers did such a great job of making you not worry about Hekapoo that honestly I didn't even REALIZE until watching some other reviews that she died! (I know it showed the other members of the High Commission as dead but I don't know why that just didn't sink in when I initially watched it) And poor Spider with a Top Hat and all of Star's Narwhal blasts... Yeah, the "destroy the magic" thing just came out of NOWHERE and did not do it for me... I'm considering reading some of the fanfics I've seen for season 4 just to get the bad taste of this finale out of my mouth lol.

Oh my gosh you'll never believe it but I just watched that entire video this morning lol! Blue's a great guy and I thought his review was incredible. I'm with you that I didn't agree with EVERYTHING, but like 98% of it was spot-on imo.

Blue Order's video gets a lot of press, so I encourage you to read this thread counterpointing his video: https://www.reddit.com/r/StarVStheForcesofEvil/comments/du5j7z/a_kindlyworded_response/ For the record, I think BO's saltiness overrode his objectivity; some things he stated as fact were out and out wrong, others based on his missing plot elements, and others were just his opinion, not factual. For the record, I probably agree with 55%, maybe 60%, of what he says.

Ducktales, Amphibia, and OwlHouse are all great. Also just throwing this out there Wendie Malick who voices Eda on Owl House is hot as hell for her age, she's 69... she's got 30 years on me and I still wouldn't turn her down, even on a great day. (she not only looks AMAZING for her age, but is funny, and probably has a decent personality to boot) LOL wouldn't even have to be a physical relationship she just seems fun. Hanging out with her and Betty White, drinking and chilling... that's my heaven... I'm a simple man of simple desires and means. lmao
