Who was that green haired nobody horning in on Star's true blue boo? We have to break that nonsense up. Starco Shippers Assemble!

Cornball: a pretty lackluster episode with a really great message. Obviously I won't go into the real live allegorical connection here, but I think the take away was pretty spot on in that it's always the younger generations, the more flexible generations that are the motivator from change. It's nice to see Mewni get a glimmer of hope in that regard for Mewman-Monster relations for sure, and I do have to admit that the kids game was super cute, BUT holy crap Eclipsa just reinforced the, "I'm way too selfish" to be a ruler aspect of her personality. She's supposed to be all about monster rights, and at the event meant to be a bridge between species she,s too busy looking for her baby to spare a moment to even try to fix it up. I've said it before, and I'll say it again... Eclipsa is not a good queen. A great and friendly person, terrible queen. Also, on a personal level, I love that I got to hear the term "riff-raff" used non-ironically outside of my own vocabulary for the first time in probably...ever. Meteor's lesson is fantastic. Not really because the episode was particularly funny, or well-acted but for the implications. We get to see the origin of mewni and the wand, along with a somewhat terrifying cameo of the Stump. But more so, we see Toffee in his more shall I say...formative years. Now, I firmly believe that the reason Glossaryck did this, was to further antagonize Toffee and turn him against magic. This would ensure his motivation for destroying the magic and thus give rise to all of the current events that helped shape Moon and Star. So in essence, it's a causal loop, but it is necessary for Glossaryck to ensure it happens so that the future unfolds as it should. The reason he took Meteora and taught her to Dip Down so early is so that she could whoop Toffee's ass, but still be too young to remember any of this, thus ensuring the timeline isn't contaminated by any memory of the events he and Meteora perpetrated together.
