I have to say, Eden Sher KILLED IT in this episode! All of Star’s lines were so perfectly delivered. So many of them were hilarious, and they all perfectly conveyed her current mood (the animation certainly did it’s job there too). Great to see Buff Frog again! He’s such a fun, loveable character. His fatherly antics are adorable, and that Russian accent never fails to get a laugh out of me. It was nice seeing him and Moon bond over being parents, and Moon moving past her dislike of monsters and seeing him for who he truly was. And that tattoo… LOL! First it makes it seems like it’s gonna show something gross… then it’s just a picture of Ludo… then his excuse to Moon… Like you said, so many levels of funny! The tadpoles are adorable too, and I love how “mature” Katrina is. It was amusing seeing her being so logical against Star’s hotheadedness. That said… ultimately, I’m glad Star is heading to the castle, given the trouble that Marco and co are in. Speaking of which, it was cool seeing Ruberiot again. I really like his character. His little band (pun intended) was fun too, especially his… complicated relationship with that female bard. And that mime’s voice was… something. Wow. I found it really funny how bad they were at coming up with a song on the spot, lol. This is why bards write and rehearse. It was also kind of funny seeing how Ludo was received by the Mewnians. They clearly have no respect for him, but they don’t seem to outright HATE him so much as are just completely indifferent to him. Like, “Eh… whatever. He’ll be gone soon.” If only they knew about Toffee… Favourite Quotes: “Rrrrrats…” – Star “It will be OK.” – Moon “No – Rats!” – Star “Come on, mom! Let’s just go! Let’s go kill ‘im!” – Star “Mom, get with the times. Not all monsters are bad.” – Star “Yo! Buff Frog! Where ‘dem babies aaaaatt?!” – Star “She needs to make boom boom!” – Star “Maybe it’s the beard.” – Ludo “No, m’lord, they just don’t like you.” – Vendor “The dungeon has air conditioning??” – Marco “It’s a dungeon, not a torture chamber.” – River “As artists, our job is to comment on the world around us.
