Bird and spider bringing tacos was a callback to Starcrushed ... during the fight Hekapoo portaled them to Britta's Tacos.

OMG, Glossaryk, NOOOOO! I hope he’s not gone for good. I love his character. :( A slower episode compared to the last few, but I enjoyed the development for Ludo and River, and their interactions with Glossaryk & Marco respectively. River is honestly one of my favourite characters. He’s a big-hearted, well-meaning doofus, who always tries to do what’s right, and genuinely cares about others, yet at the same time can’t quite see outside of his own small bubble. That, mixed with his design and voice, makes him really funny and endearing to me. I liked seeing him grow as a king in this episode. It’s clear he’s had no experience ruling without Moon, so he keeps throwing these wild parties to keep his people’s morale up (as well as to distract himself from his own sadness), without quite realizing that that’s not what they need right now. I liked how Marco was able to help River look outside of his bubble and realize the kind of king his people truly needed. His speech at the end was awesome! And the pay-off with the monster was hilarious too. XD Ludo’s development was interesting too. It’s funny… He’s so comedic, and in many ways sympathetic, it’s easy to forget how dark he can be sometimes. I was totally shocked when he burned the book! While I think that was more along the lines of a temper tantrum (he was even freaked out about it afterwards), Toffee was able to use it to appeal to his dark nature, and talk him into attacking Butterfly Castle. And what’s frightening about it is, he’s not even being controlled. As Toffee said, it’s all Ludo. Much like Marco was encouraging River to become a better king, Toffee is encouraging Ludo’s villainy. And that ending… oooh, boy. I can’t wait to see what happens next! Favourite Quotes: “Should I write in my normal handwriting, or should I try something sciencey?” – Ludo “Book! I demand that you let me write in you this instant, or I’ll turn this car around so fast it’ll make your head spin!” – Ludo “You and I aren’t really that different, you know… We both like magic and… other stuff. What I’m trying to say is, I really appreciate you and all you’ve done for me, so if you’re not letting me write in you because of something I did, or I said, or I, I, uh… All right… I’m just gonna come right out and say it… I love you, book.” – Ludo “We will rock at you!” – River “Dentist! Construction worker! Remember when you two worked together to dislodge that tooth-shaped rock in the road? Blacksmith! You worked at the turtle sanctuary to make iron shells for the turtles in need! And you two weirdos hold the record for the longest staring contest!” – River “He’s near…” – River “Yeah… he’s right there…” – Marco
