Hey! I wish you a Happy New Year, lots of joy in the things that are important to you and, above all, lots of health for you and the people who are close to you! I'm really not a good "text writer", but I thought I'd take the opportunity at the turn of the year to say "THANK YOU!". Thank you to every single one of you who has clicked on one of my videos or even followed a tutorial. I always forget far too quickly what that actually means. At first, the number of views just keeps going up, and then you quickly get a bit annoyed when a video project you've been working on for weeks only gets a few hundred to a thousand views. But when you think about how many 1000 people alone would actually come together, it's actually unbelievable. And this year we managed to do it over three million times in total, which is really incredible! Thank you for joining my journey! I would especially like to thank the people who have decided to give me a little $ support via Patreon. It doesn't matter if it's just for one month, or even those who have been supporting the work I put into all of this for several months! Thank you so much! I am miles away from all the countless hours over the past few years having "paid off" financially. Maybe that point will never come, but you're a big part of why I can still take the time to do all of this to this day! I've been doing YouTube more or less actively since 2015, but rather inactively for a very long time. Part of the truth is that I wasn't always motivated. There are always moments when I "waste" days and weeks in my editing program or in Minecraft because I'm not satisfied with my work, because I don't know if all the hours will be worth it, questioning whether what I'm doing is really what I want to spend my time on. In the end, when something is finished and I can present it, I can see that it helped someone out there, I could motivate or inspire someone to do something themselves, or I could just entertain you for that little moment, it means so much to me and is probably why I've been doing this for so long. It's important not to lose the fun in these things and you should never get to the point where you have to force yourself to do this work. I want to pay more attention to this in the new year. I want to do cool projects, but not at any price, if that means that there is nothing new for a while, then that's just the way it is, if I have a lot of motivation or ideas, then there should be a lot of new things in a short time. The important thing is that it feels right for me to start a project, but also to end a project from time to time to make room for something new. Everything I have built up over the last eight years is more than I ever dreamed of and would never have been possible without you - Thank you, you are great! I wrote at the beginning that it wasn't easy for me to write a text and now I'm sitting here with half a book of sentences. I don't know if anyone has even read through to the end, but I hope you'll still be with me next year! Kind regards Christoph (aka. DiddiHD)
