I was thinking more about fantasy characters after having done that Frazetta fanart. The one on the right might just be a 70s take on medieval peasant Zelda, but I'm still very jazzed about her hair. 💛

I mentioned the soft warmth added at the intersections of forms on twitter Norasuko mentioned that it was probably value more than color that creates that effect as a sort of ambient occlusion. So I decided I wanted to try to make a color shift without any vvalue change to see if I could get the same result. 

I'll have to try it again strictly using it for the intersecting forms but you can see from the b/w version of the 70's Zelda that what looks like shading is just a hue adjustment with no added value.

That is my nerdy art experiment of the week.

Also, I somewhat embarrassingly drew Rosalina as a scenester. You could call it a waste of time and I wouldn't argue with you. I don't know why, I just did. It's very strange I thought about drawing her in some casual contemporary clothes and then this happened instead. Her bangs made me do it.
