tl;dr -- I made this double sided Link & Zelda print because I'm procrastinating on getting physical comics on my store because (this is the embarrassing truth) trying new things is scary and hard, thanks for your patience though. I hope you like the drawings :)

For those of you that have read me typing away about my process, you'll have seen me go on about how much of it is weird mind games. I found this to be uniquely challenging on certain projects that involve doing things I've never done before, like physical prints.

I wanted to make a little double-sided illustration print on cardstock I can include as a fun freebie with the orders because I have a bunch of this weird mottled white and pink cardstock sitting around I have no clue what to do with and it's kinda the same color as the background tone from Spicy Elixir!

The problem arrives when I realize that I'm actually making new work for myself instead of just finishing what I started. There's a couple of hitches about getting all the gumroad stuff ready for physical fulfillment that aren't really a big deal but are juuuust different enough that I am way more likely to procrastinate. So I'm typing about it because that usually puts the pressure n to get things wrapped up :)

Doing this work has definitely made me realize how easy it is to have a split identity as a maker of things. The artist/technician wants to practice and show off their skills and make everything perfect, the businessperson wants things to be seen by a lot of people as quickly as possible to help support the bottom line.

Essentially I'm trying to pack as much love and care into them because I want the presentation and goodies to make up for the fact that I know they are not being professionally printed and knowing I'm making something that falls even a little shy of my preferred quality standard makes me REALLY uncomfortable. It's probably something nobody in the world but me would ever notice, but since when did the artist brain ever care about such clearly misplaced prioirities?  Since never that's when.

Anywho, I'm working on it. Gonna set up my shippo account and all that logistic stuff figured out first so once I put things up for sale I'll be standing by with rigid mailers(the horniest of shipping envelopes) packing tape in hand.

Thank you for reading and supporting my work! <3 I hope that this illustration is something fun to tide you over for a minute :)
