This month I feel like has been a little bit light on sketches. When I've been wanting to zone out and doodle I've been moreso leaning on animation, which unfortunately means I'm just starting and not finishing things a lot.

When I was first learning animation years ago I started doing short daily 15 minute animation exercises as a way of taking the big scary edges off the process so I felt comfortable in it. Being comfortable is always my prerequisite for making anything.

The trick for getting ol' Winton to complete things is to make the task small enough that you can make really good progress in one sitting so he doesn't ever feel overwhelmed by the scope of the work. I know any animation projects in the future for me will require me to plan it to fit within those boundaries, which means that it will be very small and not very impressive😅

But I know myself better than to be ambitious and make something unfinishable. Speaking of knowing myself, I've been playing around with a new fursona of sorts, transforming my little mid century man avatar into a little satyr goatman, or a kid, if you will :)

I've always liked my simple lil glasses icon but it's uncomfortably similar to the Chronicle Books publishing company logo and I'd rather not gain their ire. Adding some horns and eyebrows I think might do the trick without needing to abandon what I have entirely.

 Happy Sunday, everyone!

This is really fun. Baby steps will eventually yield big ol' strides!

Ahh a Winton "Kidd" fursona would have to be a goat obviously. I see what you did there.

Hehehe yes, it's a requirement. Frustratingly, while the goat works as a fursona, I'm in the exact wrong industry to lean in and start calling my Patreon the Kidd's Club or something. It's basically the worst possible mixed message I could ever use🙃 and Horny GOAT Club just reads like an insane boast
