Lissom and strong, the goblin gracefully accommodates your much larger stature.
Her hair smells like a mixture of hay and chimney soot, from your adventure in the vault. Her evident pleasure becomes apparent as she presses against you, allowing herself to be lifted and twirled, weightless in your arms. The fire crackles and urges your movements onward, faster...
Her eagerness is contagious. Your strength renewed, you easily match her tempo and rhythm as she begins to twist and cavort. Breathless and happy, you mutually agree to a more relaxed pace. You had scarcely begun when the fireplace spoke.
Quickly you realize that it is not the fireplace that spoke, but a kind of fire demon sitting within, eyeing you both and looking pleased.
“Never has sssuch a sssplendid ssspectacle crossed my hearth” began the demon with a crackling hiss. The demons eyes flicker back and forth between you and the goblin.
“I had long forgotten the honeyed sssweetness of the life I once tasssted before my uncountable years of imprisssonment.”
“The wizard of this tower keeps me trapped by ssstarving my flamesss. I must have kindling to break free of this ssspell, but it must be a gift, freely given. Help me essscape and I’ll guide you sssafely to what you sssseek…”
