About the animation and shading, there are certain important episodes like this where they hired a different animator to do the shading and animation. You can tell the characters look less glossy and more “rugged” (in a good way, like DBZ). A lot of the remaining episodes are animated by this guy

So a wee FYI on the animation thing, so the reason the first few arcs were so badly animated was due to time restraints and the fact that they were initially employing apprentices to do the animation at the studio, once super started to really kick off they got veteran animators in to draw certain panels and episodes, it's a shame really cause if they had the budget and skill from the get go imagine how ridiculous goku vs beerus would have been.
