Made the 2 part mold today for Crash's eyes. I would have liked to get the eyes themselves cast, but I ran out of quick cure silicone so things took a bit longer.

Embedded the eyes into clay, making where the seam will be flush to the edges/bottom of the eye. Made a mold wall, added registration keys etc.

Poured a print (thin) layer of silicone and brushed it around with a cheap paintbrush to make sure no bubbles were in the 1st layer. Canned air also helps pop any that rise. Poured the rest and let that half cure.

Once that was solid, I removed the mold wall and the clay. flipped it over and made another mold wall. Sprayed 3 good layers of silicone release and once dry poured the other side of the mold. The seam should run along the flat back of the eye so should be easy to clean up.

I'll be cutting the eyes apart (so 1 mold for each eye) making them easier to handle for rotocasting. The final eyes will be white, hollow resin.
