I thought making a tail would be super quick and simple. I was so wrong XD.

I didn't have much time to work on Trico today, I had to do a few errands. But figured I could easily get the tail done in a few hrs. My first tail was made from all luxury shag, and I found it to be a huge pain to need to shave 90% of it down. It all was going well until I tried to turn it inside out.

I found it SO SO very hard to turn such a thin tube with fur inside it. It took so long, and I ended up gouging a bunch of holes in the fur.

I decided I'd have another try with shorter fur for the base, and I needed to make a thinner and longer tail anyway. The second tail still took forever to turn, but it turned out much better than the first.

The tail has a shorter length fur for the long part of the tail. It's something I found in a local fabric store, so I'm not sure what kind of fur it technically is. It's kind of like 1/2 length shag but not as 'shaggy'. I used luxury shag for the tail tuft for max floofyness.

Once I eventually turned it I brushed it out a tonne and shaved the long part of the tail down a bit to thin it out.  Much more stress than I thought it would be, but I'm really happy with the final look. It's 100% posable with the armature inside.

Those horns look so much like goggles in the photos lol. But it's looking awesome so far, such a long fluffy tail as well.
