Okay, seeing you react to this just tells me you'll absolutely LOVE 5th Muster, so now I can't wait 😌

So, Otsukare was actually Suga's idea but because of their close friendship there's an old ARMY joke: Big Hit: We want you to do a silly song Suga: No BH: Wearing a sparkly jacket Suga: Not a chance BH: With J-Hope Suga: Where's the jacket? 😆

Imajin All The Purple

Wait till you see them performing dressed as sushi! 😆🤣

Please react to the original live performance - SOPE! Only Suga and J-Hope. The "chorus" otsukare sama deshita was something they used to say to the staff etc while in Japan. And then j-hope came up with a melodi for it. And then they all got excited about it and began singing it. Suga especially got excited and he suggested that he and j-hope would make an actual song out of it. Their performance of it is legendary, honestly. And Suga was SO excited. There is Bangtan bombs with them practising the choreo. Hobi just brings out a totally different side of Suga.

I was expecting the SOPE version of this! What a surprise! I don't think I had seen the full ot7 version of this either!

Sokha Hem

First time I see the full versions of OT7 is just amazing, but will be amazing if you can react to the original one with Sope ..both love it thank you John 💜

Virginia

Thank you for bringing OT7 version of the performance. What a great way to start my morning, all smiling and happy. I would love to see more of their Japan fan meets. They could do silly things there that wouldn’t work as well anywhere else in the world.

What a treasure! You should share it on discord with us!!!

If you enjoyed seeing this side of Suga, you will definitely love the SOPE version :D

This is a Sope original song in the Trot genre (same as Supertuna). They are so happy being unserious (like when they perform So What or Anpanman) yet the sentiment of the song is adorable and sweet, even being silly their core message is there. I listen to this at least a few times a week as a pick me up or reminder I did a good job. Another case of rap line never being able to say no to vocal line because I just know they begged to do an OT7 like Daechwita or Chicken Noodle Soup. They are happier sharing the stage with each other. They do a lot of goofy things like this at the Festa and fan meets (vs a concert). Them performing in animal onesies, doing “cutsie” versions of their songs, singing each other’s songs. They always come up with something new. I just wish I could stream Otsukare.

This was great - but I also love the original SOPE performance of this in 2016 - be sure to watch it even if you don't do a reaction to it. Here's the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z8oXgwpOwGs

Yes, thank goodness for the unique Japanese sense of humor! 😆

People are often impressed when BTS tells staff, etc. "You've worked hard" or "thank you for your hard work". Yes, that makes them unusually polite and thoughtful, but the particular turn of phrase is also simply a social nicety in Korean culture. I think it's important to put it in context because we already have them on this impossibly high pedestal. 😅 Otsukaresama is the Japanese equivalent of one of those everyday, polite phrases that everyone uses - like "how do you do". This one is office worker talk. otsukaresama deshita - literally "you are tired", often used when leaving people who are still working, so in context it's translated as "you've worked hard". Just for fun, here's a thread explaining the Korean equivalent phrase: 🤓🤓🤓 https://twitter.com/iamsseuregi/status/1477572596640075777?t=z92pQimQ706F7K95WHzMAg&s=19

The original Sope duo performance will make you love Suga and J-Hope even more, trust me, it's imposible not to! Check it out, please!

I love the Otsukare-fancam of Jimin and V dancing in the middle of this and Jimin first dropping V to the floor and then slipping and landing on top of him. This group is just chaos personified. https://youtu.be/TYfiuN_6Vo8
