I'm not sure, but I think in the US the seaside arcade was a more popular thing in the earlier days. Here in Oregon, I live about one hour from the coast and we have a really cute town called Seaside. It has a fun main street that runs through town and has an arcade as well as bumper cars, corndog stand, ice cream and a general feeling of a carnival atmosphere. At the end of the street is the "End of the Lewis and Clark Trail." that looks out over the Pacific Ocean. As always, a great episode, Dan!
