Welcome to the 'Bakery Bears Radio Show' Episode 91

We are always delighted to feature listener suggestions in our Radio Show. A few weeks ago we were asked by a listener to talk about making real connections and building community in digital world. We are so excited today to be talking about that exact subject!

Join Kay & Dan as they:

  • Welcome you to the show and introduce you to their new washer…..
  • Call at their local garage, their fourth emergency service
  • Talk about what digital communities are and how they impact the success of in person communities
  • Discuss how humanity can keep up with the social skills required to actually make friends in person
  • Talk through the positives and the negatives of digital communities
  • Share some of their own experiences of the good and the bad of online communities
  • Discuss how they have found the best balance they can in their own lives
  • Mention their own Bakery Bear Patron Private Facebook Group which is available to Silver, Gold & Platinum Bakery Bear Patrons

Thank you for another great radio show! I work in retail and a see the difference in the younger folks starting to work. They do not understand how to greet customers. We actually have to tell them daily to say hello to customers, each customer, as they come in. They really struggle to speak up.

Thank you so much Kay and Dan for your thoughtful perspectives on this important and ever present topic. 💐 As always, you have raised a number of valuable and thought provoking ideas - and I am left with a deeper understanding, new pathways to ponder, and much to think about. Even though we are well past knee-deep into the digital waters now, I feel that we are actually somewhere in the middle of a very important transition. And that history will judge us all on how we handle this moment. And your points about the power and influence of the group think are so incredibly important. I feel like the more we discuss important topics in life - the more deeply we can understand them... and the better we become ... individually and together... Especially when we discuss them with folks whose opinions and perspectives we respect and value... Even though each of us is so very tiny in this beautiful universe - we are also mighty... And we should always have faith that our choices matter... and can make a difference in the world... And while none of us can fathom where all of this is headed... perhaps all we can do in this moment of transition, and uncertainty, is to continue to have absolute faith in the power of our individual decisions and actions... And keep bravely stepping into those safe spaces to make and maintain cherished connections ... Keep working on those skills to make new friends... And keep the lights on, and the fireplaces burning within those positive and enriching communities... (like this beautiful BB community which is such a blessing to us all) And keep the faith that all our tiny steps in this will have a bigger impact on the path forwards from here... for each of us... and for all of us... ✨ Thank you again Kay and Dan for your wonderful show today ... 💐
