Have to start with saying that I love your T-shirt and I want it!! 😆 You have just taught me a new word “Pensive”. 👍Good luck with Jays jumper and I’m looking forward to see and hear what you think of the yarn 🧶

I completely understand what you're trying to say about how you want your knitting to look just right. I often think about this kind of thing as well. I want to knit things that when people look at it they assume I bought it a store because it looks that good. I have made 2 sweaters and I'm only proud to wear one of them because it was more important for me to say I made a sweater rather than take the extra time to make sure I turned out a project that actually looks fantastic. It certainly looks homemade, but in the very worst way. I'm ashamed to wear it outside my home. The second sweater I made doesn't exactly look like I bought it from a store, but I think it's very close. It fits me nicely, and I have worn it several times with pride. I often hope someone will say, what a lovely sweater, so that I can say thank you, I made it myself, and then scoop their jaw off the floor because they're amazed at the awesomeness of my handiwork. Alas, no one has ever said it, so I know I haven't achieved my goal. However, I have learned the value of doing your very best work on your handmades so that you get the very best enjoyment from your efforts. Keep up your due diligence because it's worth it!

Jennifer, please don't assume that just because no-one has commented on your jumper that it isn't amazing. Maybe people are just too "polite" or the aren't knitters (because it takes one to know one!) I remember when I commented on someone's Baablehat ....I loved it but I was so worried she would think I was some kind of weirdo for saying I loved it. Obviously she was thrilled but at the time I thought should I say something, shouldn't I? A non knitter probably wouldn't comment as they have no idea of how long it took or the skill involved. Wear your jumper with pride ! 😀
