Welcome to our 'Whats in YOUR oven - Retasted' Collection

Today we continue our monthly look back at the original episodes of 'Whats in YOUR oven':

  • Dan has re-edited each show which we will publish here in a series
  • Just like our Gold Editions of 'My Favourite Colourways' or 'Walking the Dales', this series will be available IN FULL to Gold & Platinum Patrons
  • Remember, whenever we publish a new episode, we will make it available for one month to Silver Patrons as well!

The episodes that will appear in this series were our first ever attempt at a professional style show. Todays show was initially recorded in 2015, before we new how to capture quality audio, so please forgive the barking dog which appears within the show! :-)

In todays episode join Kay as she:

  • Shows you how to bake perfect scones
  • Talks you through her favourite way of serving scones

Ingredients

  • 9 oz self raising flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 1/2 oz butter
  • 1 oz caster sugar
  • 1 egg

  • Clotted cream or whipped cream

Diana Lovatt

So if you don't use Self-rising flour and you use spelt flour instead, then how much extra baking powder will be added to it?

The Bakery Bears

No idea at this stage Diana. Kay will be making some cakes and things in this season of Kays Cosy Kitchen but as yet she hasn’t tried scones with spelt. Best wishes, Dan

Those look absolutely delicious!! I have a bit of a scone obsession, so I will definitely be trying these!
