Welcome to our ‘Knit Along with Kay’ collection.

You may have noticed in Kays 'Design Diary' series that she uses journals to log her design ideas. In 2021 Kay has decided that she is going to use a similar approach for logging her knitted projects. Today she's here to share with you how she's created her newest 'Knitting Journal'.

Join Kay as she:

  • Shares with you her new Knitting Journal and how’s she’s intending to use it
  • Shows you the first two projects listed within the journal and the details of how she has listed them
  • Kay purchased her Agenzio Lavender notebook from Paperchase
  • Talks through why she has started a physical book instead of logging her projects digitally

You can find more Knit Along with Kay series here: https://www.bakerybears.com/knit-along-with-kay/

Thank you so much for watching and we'll see you soon with more!

I really like putting pen or pencil to paper as well. I'm really unorganized so I need to have everything in one calendar type journal, so I got one that is a 6 ring clip kind and put my calendar pages, as well as dotted, lined, and blank pages in it. Then I just write everything in it and I transfer the pages to dated 6 ring binders for long term storage that are separated into subject matter, like knitting, ideas, diary-type notes, and other info. Thank you for sharing your knitting journal. The ability to add yarn samples is something I really miss about digital journals. Maybe I need to have just a spreadsheet with links to pictures and journal entry dates as the digital reference and I can do the more tactile part that I love as a physical journal.

You've inspired me to start my own knitting journal. My first completed project documented was the Rhapsody Socks!
