Welcome to our ‘Perfect Cake’ series.

Folks we are delighted to be back with brand new instalment in our series all about cake. Once a month we take you on a 'Quest for the Perfect Cake'. Today we visit the fifth of the 12 different cake shops we've selected in our extra special series.

We're looking for:

  • Anything sweet that you can slice
  • A cake that is light and tasty
  • Something with lots of flavour

This time we're visiting Fountains Abbey. This is a place we know well but we have never, ever tried their cakes. So join us as we venture into Fountains Abbey Tearooms and we will of course award our star rating out of five at the end of the show!

This concludes the series so far, we had hoped to bring it back after Christmas 2019 when the weather improved. But the world wide Covid-19 pandemic has currently put paid to that plan. We hope to continue this series later in 2020 or early 2021.

Dan, peanut butter is great on celery, apple slices, rice cakes, instead of bread.

I enjoyed this series and the quest for the perfect cuppa so much! It seems that the link for episode 6 takes us to the wrong place. It’s not Studley Royal but rather Dan’s garment knitting. I hope you can finish the last 6 episodes now that things have opened up again!
